This report lists, for each function in a given diagnostic study, the different fault groups to which that function can be isolated. Each functions associated fault groups are grouped by size and, for each size, the report gives the percentage of the function’s failure probability that is associated with fault groups of that size. For each individual fault group, the report lists the aggregate failure probability associated with that entire fault group. This report is not only useful for analyzing the relative diagnostic involvement of different functions in a given diagnostic study, but also for understanding the complex impact that changes to a function’s failure rate might have upon the fault isolation metrics listed in the Fault Isolation Report.
